Helloooooo, I'm back!

Hello friends and new followers! Oh my goodness, I had completely forgotten about signing up to be a co-host on the GFC blog hop and it went on without me knowing until I checked my e-mail and found so many heartwarming comments from some fabulous new friends.

If you are new to the blog, welcome!!! I am so happy to have you and I can't wait to get to know each and everyone of you! :D

Lately, I have been pretty absent in the blog world and boy have I missed it. There has been so many changes. One huge change is that I am finally in Utah. St. George, Utah-to be exact. The kiddos and I have been here for about 2 months now and we are still boarding with my fantastic sister-in-law. Its been a chaotic, but fun adventure. There have been plenty of things to get used to. Especially, since there are 6 of us to one bath room. Eight, if you include the guys when there are home from work. And one thing about this family of boys is that they enjoy sitting on the porcelain throne. It must run in the family. haha.

Another change is that my little dude- Emery is now 7 months (almost 8) and mobile! My little monster has mastered the military crawl and is all over the place. Oh and he is so curious. He loves finding new places. Speaking of finding new things, he's found his "friend." Actually, I'm not sure what to name it. Should I be anatomically correct and call it (dare I say it) his penis or should I call it his wee-wee, whoo-ha, little buddy, catapillar, or no-no? I mean, I'm not afraid of calling it what it is, but I don't want it to be his first word. No scratch that, "dadda" is his first word.

Emery at bath time.
Boys start so early.
Btw, this is going to be great blackmail one day!

I have barely scratched the surface of all the new changes, but I am so excited to get back into blogging. I am so excited to meet all the new faces that have stopped by!

I hope that you all have a fantastic day!

The Biebs, Call Me Maybe, And Apologies

So as I am sitting here writing to all you beauties, the daughter and I am jamming out to Justin Bieber and I am contemplating on downloading his music for the trip out to Utah next week.

Firstly, I have to show you this video that I have been so lucky to have been shown. I don't know if you have seen it, if you have awesome! If not- you HAVE to watch! Its hilarious and watch the reactions they are the best. I was laughing so hard by the end that I was crying.

The guy is a bit disturbing, but the reactions are hilarious!

Secondly, I have to apologize to all you lovelies. I am so very sorry for being M.I.A. lately. It's been a whirlwind around here. I've been so busy trying to get the house packed. Filtering through all our belongings and trying to decide what I just can't live without and what I can- it's been so difficult. You never really realize how much crap you collect until you have to go through it all. Its been even more difficult because I am doing it alone. The kids don't understand that mommy needs time to get this stuff done. So its not like I can work through the day on cleaning and packing- the breaks with the kiddos are welcomed but at the same time a pain because I lose my pace and then before I know it its bed time.

I am extremely sorry to all of those who signed up for the Christmas In July swap. When I announced the swap, I never dreamed that we would be moving to Utah. I am so sorry for dropping the ball. I am such a horrible bloggy host. I didn't intend to leave you all hanging. I had full intentions of making this a huge festivity, but then life caught up with me. I hope you all can forgive me and I will be brainstorming on how I can make it up to you all.

Thank you so much for being so wonderful! And I hope that I can get back to blogging more often. I have to catch up with all of you.

Flashback Friday-Happy 5 Months

Emery 5 days old
March 15, 2012

My little man is officially 5 months old. I cannot believe it. I feel like this time is flying by so fast. Evangelina didn't grow this fast, did she? I feel like he changes every moment. Its insane. 5 months of pregnancy is definitely much longer than 5 months of his life. I truly believe that this little man can't wait to grow! Impatient little boy! He was impatient from the get go, but he truly is amazing. Yes, I am biased, but if you meet him you would think so to. He always has a smile on his face from first thing in the morning until bed time. He sleeps through the night (since his 2nd month.) He is cuddly and sweet. He makes some of the most awesome faces! And he is so laid back.

Happy 5 Months, Emery!
I love you!

Ready to go, go, go.

http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-479862-st_george_vacations-i
  • I am so ready to join my husband here- St. George, Utah. I am missing him like crazy and I can't wait to see him again.
  • The days seem so much longer without him. I try to keep myself busy, but without him coming home from work to break up my day, it seems so long. Luckily, my mom has stopped by twice this week to  watch the little dude while I pack.
  • I am getting ready for a yard sale this weekend and I hope I can sell everything. I have to get rid of everything because traveling 2000 miles is just too expensive and would be even more expensive if we had to rent a U-haul. So we are selling all that we can and taking the necessities. It stinks, but we've got to do it.
  • My parents didn't take the news well, my mom is pretty supportive, but still very sad that we are moving so far away. My stepdad, is extremely upset and wakes up in the middle of the night crying over it- but, he is being very helpful in getting things figured out. My dad and step mom are very very upset. Our relationship has turned really tense and I hate it.
  • Everyone says that in order to be happy you need to make yourself happy first. They never mentioned that by making yourself happy you would, in turn, make others unhappy. Ugh.
  • I am so sad to be leaving my family and hate that they are hurting over it, but we really need to do this for ourselves. There's a huge chance that we could be very happy out there- this time.
  • I really hope this yard sale goes over well! They are calling for a 60% chance of  rain tomorrow and I desperately hope that it passes us. Or if it does rain, it rains in the early morning and is just cloudy the rest of the day.

What's on your mind lately?

Mani Monday- Ikat Nails

Hello beauties!
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
Mine was very depressing, but that's a story for another day.
Today, I want to show you my fancy phalanges!
There are so many beautiful nail designs out there and I can't wait to try my hand at each of them, but one that I just had to try right now was the Ikat nails. This design is so eye catching and so easy to do!
I wanted to do a little tutorial on it, but I just didn't get to it.
So, I will share this fantastic video with you.

Simple right?
Here are my fancy digits using this tutorial.
I just love these nails!
There are so many different color combos that you could try.

What nail design are you finding too hot to pass up this week?

Two more days

Two more days until my husband leaves for St. George, Utah where he will be starting his new job on Monday. I am extremely overwhelmed by this thought and I am unsure of when my husband and I will be together again. However, I know that distance does-in fact- make the heart grow stronger.

How do you feel about distance?

Mani Monday- Coral Gradient w/ Gold

Its that time again! Time for Mani Monday with the Heathers (Glitter and Gloss & Justlove.ly.) Mani Monday is definitely the only thing that makes Monday's worth it. Well, besides the giveaway that I just announced today!!
Anyway, I have been keeping myself busy with my manicures. Last week I did 4 and that isn't counting the times I didn't like the way it was turning out so I started over. So I guess that would be a total of 7 manicures, but who is counting. That was last Tuesday when it was rainy here and Emery felt extra lazy. haha. My favorite mani that I did last week was a matte purple and gold stripe manicure. It was so gorgeous!
Pretty, right?

Today, well Sunday, I painted my nails in a shade of coral called Timbleweed. Then, on my middle finger I painted it a lighter coral called Island Coral with a vertical stripe of Timbleweed and Easy Going. Finally, on the same nail I painted 4 gold horizontal stripes and I finished the manicure with a gold ring finger and clear coat over all my phalanges.

I am quite pleased with this mani.

What colors do you like to wear on your nails?

Stuck.

Lately, the husband and I have been doing a lot of talking about moving back to this beautiful place-St. George, Utah. It started months ago when my husband just randomly asked what I thought about moving back there. I snickered and said, "Sure, why not," thinking he was joking. But slowly the idea of moving back has been growing into more. My husband has recently applied to a couple jobs in St. George and he has a couple of friends looking for other openings. We are patiently impatiently waiting to hear something back from them.
We are unhappy with our lives here in Marietta, Ohio. Its a small town full of small minds and big egos. We are a household of big dreams, open minds and an appetite for adventure that we just don't get here. Don't get me wrong, I love this little area. I grew up here and I think its beautiful in its own way, but I've out grown it. I've had a taste for something different and now I am craving it.
Within the last couple of weeks I have been day dreaming of what our lives could be like back in Utah. We'd have my nephews, friends, and adventure close by. My husband wouldn't have to work 2 jobs just to make ends meet. I'd have a reliable friend (my sister-in-law) to turn to when I need someone to talk to. The schools are much better there, not half as much school levy drama as there is here. And the area is growing. I want to be a part of an area that is thriving instead of being one that is slowly becoming a black hole.
However, I have this huge fear of confronting my family with this idea. They hate the thought of us moving just like I hate the thought of leaving them behind, but we need to watch out for ourselves. This area is no good for us. We are struggling here and I honestly don't see any silver lining. I told my sister about this idea yesterday and she started crying. I understand why, I do, but where is the support? Its not like they won't ever get to see us. There's airplanes and video chat, but then again I still understand. There's not a week that goes by that we don't see the family, but we still need to look out for our well being.
I'm so sorry for being so blah today. I desperately needed to get this off my chest and if anyone has any ideas as to how to handle the situation, please send them my way.
Also, if you could keep your fingers crossed for us that would be fantastic.

Tuesday's Tunes- Anchor & Braille

Thank goodness for apps like IHeartRadio and Pandora!
Without them I wouldn't find so many fun bands.
This week, while listening to Anberlin radio on IHeartRadio, I stumbled across Anchor & Braille.
Anchor & Braille is the acoustic side project of Stephen Christian- the lead singer of Anberlin.
He has the voice of an angel.
Enjoy.

What album do you keep replaying this week?
